Very Bunny, Guys!

A, the teenage girl with a past that no adult should have, who moved in with us and brought along 6 bunnies, has been sent back to some specialists for a while.  In the meantime, we (mostly I) are taking care of the rabbits.  They are nestled out behind the back (? but on the front side of the house) door downstairs, where we live, sheltered from the rain and coyotes.

As seen with Plum Bottom

I get to feed and water them and hold them daily.  All with the benefit of not getting blamed for bringing them to the house! (The owner isn't very fond of them) I can live with that.  And I get to be the good guy who takes care of them when I dont have to.  Oh, yes, I am using the system.  I am a terrible human being.  A terrible human being who gets to play with bunnies!

I felt bad that they were cooped up in their little cells constantly, and kept wanting to make a little enclosure for them to run around in.  So, after A had been gone for about two weeks, the three of us used some extra chicken wire to make a bunny run.  They finally got to get out and put their feet on some grass.  The white one on the bottom right got to do the honors, since that one seems like its meant to be able to move around.  It kept coming up to the door and poking its head around every time I would give it food or water.  Unfortunately, it's been rainy every day since then and I am just waiting for another sunny day to get to take them out again.

We can't remember their names, so we've begun to rename them... such as Helen Keller (the deaf and blind rabbit), Jowls, Adobe, and so on.  They don't all have new names yet, but I'm sure in due time they will.

Helen Keller

We think this one's original name is Little Man.  It is twice the size of the others.

They are just all so cute.  And soft! Like a bunny....

Since there are three white ones and I cant remember which rabbit this picture is of, it might be Jowls.

It's been great having them around.  I look forward to more summer weather so that I can take them out and watch them with their little bunny jumps and little bunny mouths and doing the little bunny things they do.

Play bunnies, play!
