I am not willing to say that there is necessarily causation, but there has definitely been a correlation between the day I started taking 1000IU of vitamin D twice a day, and the day I started feeling like my old, happy self, and the day that I started having a little more of an appetite. A vitamin D deficiency, or so I've heard, can lead to depression (one reason people are happier in the summer). I doubt that you could say I was depressed (I was definitely less happy that I used to be), but maybe a vitamin D overload can make you super happy? Whether its real, a coincidence, or a placebo.. I dont care. I just hope it keeps up!
