I am in the middle of 6 days straight of work. But it will be worth it to get to go home next weekend and see my friend! I have a feeling that the 'manager' wont like me much, since I cant work next weekend, or the one after that, or the one after that, and the one after that I head to Boise. So, instead, I told the owner that I would be able to work until May 12th, and then after that (if acceptable) I can work a couple days every other week, during my time off in the summer. We will see if the 'manager' is OK with this, since she makes the schedule. Either way, whether I work or not, is ok with me. Part of me thinks I'll want to be utterly responsibility-free (or, maybe volunteer during my time off), but part of me thinks that I get bored if I'm not doing anything, so I might as well get paid to work a couple of days. We shall see how it goes.
The owner wants to keep me around, and doesn't seem too fond of the idea of my going. Actually, I know he doesn't like it and is convinced that I will get my hand ripped off or get eaten by a bear. And camping for a week at a time, with another female no less, is no good and he wouldn't let his daughter do it. Perhaps if he and his wife were less controlling and sheltering, then their daughter would be able to do a lot more things. Such as survive camping for a week. But anyway, he seems to be warming up to the idea- although now he needs to find TWO people like me and Mr. H, as opposed to the one he wanted to find the day before I told him about my plans. He has told me that I need to find my replacement. I think he was joking. Well, I hope he was, because I'm not sure I could even find another person like Mr. H and me in the entire city. Other than D, maybe, but I don't think she wants to work at the gas station.
But! At least I get to scamper off and play with my friends before I start my job for the summer. It will be a grand ole time!
Pps. It was one year ago today that I finished up at Michaels and hauled myself and my stuff over here, leaving straight from work. Exciting, no?
