July 31, 2012
Well, we finally moved out of the house we've been living in for the past year.  While I seem to be in a semi-state of denial (or a state of semi-denial?) about the big move still, it is a bit sad to be leaving the house that really pushed our relationship into the next level.  It was the first place that we lived together alone, the first place that I was finally around all of the time (only a couple weeks away with the Forest Service), and of course the place we got engaged at. It taught us that we can be perfectly happy in a small living space, and that we must have a healthy relationship because it never felt too cramped or that we needed to get away from each other.  So, farewell to one great year.

Pausing for a photo as we leave the house for the last time.  You can't tell how overjoyed Smelly is about moving.
After we moved out to Diana's dad's place as our temporary living situation, we had Hodges and Sam over to shoot BB guns and play whiffle golf on the back lawn.  We played outside until it was too dark to see the balls before we hit the hot tub.

Today was relaxing.  We slept in and watched the Olympics (which we have been enjoying, now that we are living at a place that has T.V.!) for most of the day. In the evening, I went over to Diana's mom's for what will probably be the last time before Christmas.  It's always a pleasure to go see them, hanging out on the porch and eating dinner.  I will miss their company.
On the front stairs up to the porch, pretending I don't know there's a camera there...
