Travels

I'm riding a moose! Sometime a while ago, we headed to Coeur d'Alene for a get-away weekend.  There is a story about a mouse and a moose based in Coeur d'Alene, who wander around the waterfront in search of each other.  They are friends, of course.  Such similarity in names mandates that.  They also have these sculptures around town.  Perfect size for misbehaving and hoping on one.

We followed up the CDA trip with one even farther... Minneapolis! Where we visited one of my favorite people in the world.  It was special enough that I even hauled the pink blazer AND wore it one night.  You know it's special if the pink blazer comes out.

Then comes our Anniversary in June, and we again leave town! It's a common theme....  This time we headed to Bonner's Ferry, ID to a rental 'cabin' overlooking the Kootenai River.  With an oversized house and an oversized view, we relaxed, drank wine, did crosswords and played catch.

In July we headed over to my place for a grand birthday-birthday-father's day SALE-a-bration! As part of the fun, we headed to a Mariner's game, providing Diana with her first Safeco Field experience.  She bought that hat, and has honestly worn it at some point of the day every day since she bought it.

The Fourth of July was spent riding through Edmonds, across the ferry to Kingston, watching their parade, playing games and eating food in the back yard gazebo, and finally topping it off with the downtown fireworks.  Diana provided just as much entertainment as the fireworks themselves... From the first burst to the last, she was filled with giddy excitement.  I suppose I have taken for granted the explosive power of fireworks up close.  She, on the other hand, had no such desensitization.

But wait! There's more! Come September we will be heading out to Hawaii for a week of tropical vacation! Yeah, we are that couple.  (Though, realistically the Hawaii thing started as my sister and I, and I am draaaaaaagggggggiiiiiiiiinnnnngggg Diana along). It should be fun!
